If you know our brand and have been with us through the years, you surely know her. Megan Warren is our Operations Manager + Buyer, having been with e.Allen for 17 years this coming October. It’s safe to say that her influence is in all things, especially being Elizabeth’s right hand. She is our helping hand in all areas, a mentor, and a co-worker friend. While we all know and love her, we hope you get to know her a little better, like we do!
Q: What does your position entail?
A: “I oversee all areas of the business that are running smoothly and efficiently. Plus, ensure that our buy stays within budget as well as helping buy for the store. I have my hands in all areas on a daily basis.”
Q: What qualities or characteristics in yourself do you think help you in your position?
A: “I am organized and a logical thinker.”
Q: Who, if anyone, do you work with in your position?
A: “I work very closely with Tabitha and Elizabeth.”
Q: What is your favorite part of your daily job?
A: “I love the metrics, reporting, and numbers!”
Q: What has been the most challenging part of your job?
A: “Learning how to efficiently manage and motivate different personalities.”
Q: What has been the most rewarding part of your job or your greatest accomplishment?
A: “The most rewarding part of my job has been working with some of the most talented people and watching them grow-either here with us or if they have moved on to something else. It’s always nice to feel like you have a part of someone’s story-even if it’s brief.”
Q: In what ways do you want to grow in your position or grow the position itself?
A: “I ask myself a lot…how can I continue to grow? It’s not always work-related. I find that when I work on certain areas of myself that it always impacts my work. When I am better at being me, my job performance gets better as well. So I would like to keep evolving and being a better version of myself than I was yesterday.”
Q: What has been your favorite memory at eAllen so far?
A: “There have been so many that I couldn’t possibly pick just one…but one that always comes back to me is the day of our grand opening of the Gulch location. It was such a special day with so much support from friends and family, and members of our community. A day that will truly live in my memory forever.”
Q: What do you look forward to the most at eAllen?
A: “Coming in the door! It’s such a happy place to be. I am genuinely excited every day that I get to walk through these doors!”
Q: Do you have any other thoughts, comments, or stories about your job or time at the company that are worth noting?
A: “I am so lucky that I am given the privilege of doing something that fills my cup! I GET to come to work! I am blessed by that phrase more times than I can count. So many people struggle to find a job that they enjoy- I have a job that I enjoy, and I love the people that I GET to work with daily. I don’t take that for granted for one second!”
