e.Allen prides itself on being a woman-owned and run business, but that is not entirely true. Devan Todd is our team’s Photographer and Graphic designer. Having been with e.Allen for 13 years now, he is an essential part of our team. Any digital or physical item that is branded or from our company has been the work of Devan. He is always ready to create any graphics needed, photograph products to help create superb content for our ads and emails, and even puts up with all of us every week. Although he is not one to snag the spotlight, he still deserves the recognition and appreciation from the e.Allen team, and those who follow us closely. Get to know Devan a little bit better!
Q: How did you come about acquiring your position or finding out about our company to apply?
A: “I was working as a designer/art director at a Nashville advertising agency when I was asked if I’d be interested in the position.”
Q: What’s something about yourself, if anything, that you’d like to share?
A: “I was once on MTV Sport for skateboarding. ”
Q: What does your position entail?:
A: “I design emails, prints, ads, and more, along with photographing products for the website.”
Q: What qualities or characteristics in yourself do you think help you in your position?
A: “My education and degree in Graphic Design from O’Moore College (now part of Belmont University) and my past experience as an Art Director and Illustrator at Nashville advertising agencies.”
Q: Who, if anyone, do you work with in your position?
A: “I work closely with the team at HQ, especially Lex, for excellent email content photos.”
Q: What is your favorite part of your daily job?
A: “I really enjoy collaborating with creative individuals.”
Q: What has been the most challenging part of your job?
A: “The holiday season can be a busy time of year in retail.”
Q: What has been the most rewarding part of your job or your greatest accomplishment?
A: “I like the challenge of figuring out the best way to photograph images for the website.”
Q: In what ways do you want to grow in your position or grow the position itself?
A: “I am accustomed to photographing indoors, so I would enjoy learning how to shoot photographs in natural lighting.”
Q: What has your favorite memory at e.Allen been so far?
A: “My personal favorite memory at e.Allen is our move to our new HQ location, where we gained a much improved photo studio.”
Q: What do you look forward to the most at e.Allen?
A: “I will have to repeat myself and say working with a group of creative individuals.”
Q: Do you have any other thoughts, comments, or stories about your job or time at the company that are worth noting?
A: “It is worth noting that our team is always prepared and knowledgeable about what is current and coming in, be it colors or styles.”
