A healthy cocktail?  Is there even such a thing?

Thankfully, 2021 is bringing some good news your way!  Kombucha, the fermented tea beverage that has a strong cult following and one with popularity on the rise, is flying off the shelves these days.  While health gurus have been longtime faves, bartenders are starting to integrate this gut-friendly elixir into their lineups.  The tart flavor packs such a big punch WITHOUT the calories….I’ll cheers to that!

Our amazingly talented founder, Elizabeth Allen, has been a fan of Kombucha for quite sometime.  After experimenting with some of her flavor preferences, she wanted to share her mixology skill set with you!  The following is her pick for blending health…with a dash of fun.

-1 oz of vodka

-2 oz of kombucha

-club soda

-1/2 of lime

DIRECTIONS: Fill a glass with desired amount of ice.  Pour 1 ounce of vodka over the ice.  Top with the freshly-opened, 2 ounces of Kombucha.  Finally, splash in a bit of club soda and squeeze your lime over your beverage.  Stir a bit and voila!

The list of options in blending the worlds of nutrition and alcohol together is endless.  If tequila is your vibe, we have come across recipes integrating Kombucha in margaritas and other tangy options.  If a Moscow Mule is your go-to, try integrating Gingerade flavors or ginger beer.  Let your inner bartender and nutritionalist unite….and get ready to fight off that winter cold and give your belly some nutrients while having just a wee-bit of fun.
