Jet setting off to The Hamptons or to a tropical locale, celebs have been spotted sporting the annual raffia trend in BIG ways.  Whether it’s to anchor a warm-weather look on their feet or tossed over the shoulder as a catch all for their phone and oversized shades, this accessory is huge for this year.  Our stylists are loving the original looks they are sporting and have brought the trend back to e.Allen for customers to enjoy.

Raffia is functional, but also has a casual ease that can work all year round. It’s such a fun way to level up a staple wardrobe in a fresh way without looking like you’re trying too hard.  Let’s chat about some of the ways YOU can make this look your own.

On the arm…Our Naira bag is giving us Katie Holmes vibes and we are loving it so very much.  Paired with easy denim and a simple grey tee, you could complete this look with our Gola tennies and be set for a shopping spree or easy errand day about town.  Gigi Hadid also has fallen hard for this straw-infused trend.  She opted for a powder blue color way that is reminiscent of our Olga Berg bag.  We love the canary option as well!

On the head…Keeping the sun at bay can be as good for your health as it is for your style.  Natalie Portman sported a chic raffia look in her Dior woven hat to the French Open.  While we might not carry the EXACT one, our BTB Piper Stripe option is a dead ringer.  The black trim keeps it classic while the woven texture allows it to be a neutral topper for any ensemble.  In honor of Beyone’s latest album and country look, our Kai in natural is a great cowgirl-esque trend to sport on the beach or by the pool. If blocking the sun isn’t your end goal, sneaking a tad of raffia has never been as adorable and as feminine as with Lele’s recent raffia bow…a must for completing that maxi dress or floral mini dress look!

On the feet….Our buyers truly knocked it out of the park with our shoes this season, and raffia textures abound.  From flats to heeled options, we are loving how they ground a spring outfit in such a good way.  Blake Lively is always a trendsetter to follow and her passion for raffia is obvious.  Marc Fisher’s Lenore is a dead ringer that pairs well with dresses and denim shorts, alike.    From additional kitten heels to flats to platforms, our shoe selection gives a variety of options to pair well with any outfit be it casual or more dressy.
