It is an honor to introduce you to our Murfreesboro superstar. Katy Gold has been killing to game for the past 11 years, gaining the loyalty and love of the locals, and it is so well-deserved. As our Murfreesboro store Manager and Employee Liaison, there is never a dull moment in her days on the clock, and her energy and care shine bright in everything she does. We are all so lucky to know her, work beside her, and learn from her. Please get to know our Katy a little better… I know you’re going to love her, and even more if you already do!

Q: What does your position entail?

A:  “Nearing the end of my college career as a student in the TXMD program at MTSU, one of my professors made an announcement that e.Allen was hiring. And having shopped there a few times, I knew it was a special place. I had to get my foot in the door. So I applied, and the rest is history!

Q: What is something, if anything, you want people to know about you?

A:  “Believe it or not, I’m not a natural redhead ;)”

Q: What qualities or characteristics in yourself do you think help you in your position?

A:  “My role has expanded over the years to entail a range of responsibilities. Styling and consulting are a given, whether in person or virtual. I love helping women feel confident on a daily basis. Often this requires shopping our other locations for the right product for the current client(s). Maintaining client relations, ensuring the Murfreesboro store is equipped with staff and product needs, scheduling style appointments, merchandising the store, training new team members, and conducting yearly evaluations with all associates are top of my list.”

Q: What qualities or characteristics do you possess that you think help in your position?

A:  “I strive to lead by example, and it shows through in the camaraderie of our team and eagerness to provide the best service to our clientele. My creative eye serves well in terms of merchandising for the store, and I can size up a customer in a flash, providing appropriate product selection for their body type and personal taste. And I like to hope my knack for putting a name to a face makes even infrequent customers feel special and seen when walking through our doors. “

Q:  Who, if anyone, do you work with in your position?

A:  “For the majority of my week, I work alongside my assistant manager, Bailee, and our associate stylist, Trinity, and stay in close contact with Megan and Tabitha for operations.”

Q:  What is your favorite part of your daily job?

A:  “Making suggestions that encourage customers to step outside of their comfort zone while respecting their needs, and then seeing their faces light up with confidence in the dressing process, gives me a feeling of success I strive for time and time again.”

Q:  What has been the most challenging part of your job?

A:  “Taking home a paycheck 😉 But seriously, who doesn’t love a new piece to make them feel pretty?! And I swear I find something new every day! I always have to reel myself in at the turn of a new season. With fresh arrivals flowing through the doors in updated cuts and fabrics, the urge to purchase is a constant!”

Q:  What has been the most rewarding part of your job or your greatest accomplishment?

A:  “Having the ability to work for people I cherish and respect, and serve and connect to women in my community daily, is such a blessing in itself. The joy it brings me to be trusted in my role is worth every second of the day. Being there to help individuals I’d call friends feel confidently dressed for life’s happy moments, as well as the sad, is an honor. And receiving thankful messages and pictures from the occasions we dress them for is so rewarding.”

Q:  In what ways do you want to grow in your position or grow the position itself?

A:  “I think I have a great grip on my role and what it encompasses, but I also believe a healthy lack of satiety keeps me eager to learn more. I love any opportunity offered to be present for line viewings. Feeling garments in person, discussing fits, materials, cost, and giving input on what works well for our customer base in Murfreesboro compared with our Nashville and Franklin locations ever intrigues me. Our buyers have a fun yet tough job, and in instances where my opinion is asked, I always like to assist! If it’s an opportunity to learn something new, count me in!”

Q:  What has been your favorite memory at e.Allen so far?

A:  “Having the presence of my work family at my wedding. It meant the world to have those I get to do life with every day of the week show their love and support on the outside as well!”

Q:  What do you look forward to the most at e.Allen?

A:  “Not to be cliche, but all of it. Waking up and looking forward to each day and its new possibilities is a blessing!”
